Maths enrichment tuition
If any of the following apply to you then it would be worth devoting some extra time to maths at any time during your education. If you would like further advice regarding this or to enquire about tuition then please contact me.
1. You enjoy maths.
If you find solving problems satisfying and like a challenge then the journey of becoming a better mathematician can be a very rewarding one. Maths can inspire just as much as great art, literature or music. You will also acquire sought after skills which will help your employment prospects.
2. You would like to study maths at university.
Your current maths curriculum is likely to be aimed at all students and as such could be unsatisfying and may not prepare you as well for your future as a mathematician as you would like. If you are ambitious about the universities you apply to and give it your best shot then this will help you to thrive during your degree. I recommend that you prepare thoroughly for and sit STEP papers whether your offer requires them or not. They will give you a good foundation from which to tackle your degree.
3. You are among the best at maths in your school.
If you feel that you are not being stretched then it is worth attempting some extra work to help you realise your potential. I recommend that you practise extensively for Maths Challenges and ask your teacher to be entered for Maths Olympiads as a discretionary candidate.
